Een enkele maal werd deze toren ook wel Mr. Jan Adriaenstoren genoemd, nadat de toren van de St Adriaenskerk was afgebroken/verwoest. Fundamenten van deze toren zijn weer gevonden tijdens de bouw van Suikerstraat 17/19. De stadsmuur langs de Suikerstraat werd wel de Lotkens genoemd. De Suikerstraat werd in dit verband wel de Logestraat of Leugestraat genoemd en de Leuvebrug, de Leugebrug. Aldus Lips. Zie i.v.m. de Lotkens ook de leuke tekening incl. commentaar 551_35240.
Dan kijken we waarschijnlijk naar de voormalige Lotkens- of Lotgenstoren!
Het lijkt haast een te grote cirkel voor een toren, maar de natuurstenen stukken (o.a doorgangetje) lijken wel op een hoge ouderdom te wijzen.
Wel een gevoel dat het ergens aan de Boogje thuis hoort. Vanwege de ronde onderliggende constructie moet ik dan ook denken aan het commentaar van Pim van der Wijk bij afbeelding 552_200143. Kijken we hier naar een gedeelte van de fundatie van de molen "De Cleyne Caerscorf"?
